The Dunkirk Dam District is guided by a five member board of Commissioners. Three are property owners who live within the DDLD and are elected to three-year terms by DDLD members. Two are appointed, one from Dane County and one from the Township of Dunkirk.
This is an ongoing volunteer committee that considers safety issues mainly around the Dunkirk Dam, but also throughout the two-mile stretch of the DDLD on the Yahara River. These issues include, but are not limited to: signage, waste removal, fishing/boating access, safe recreational activities, fencing, parking, etc.
